Pattaya, Thailand

Pattaya is a city located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, it is around 90 miles south of the capital city of Thailand, which is Bangkok. You can travel by various ways from Bangkok to Pattaya, such as taxi, private car and bus. These methods of transport vary in price quite dramatically, Public buses charge around 130 baht to taxis that charge anything up to 2000 to travel one way to Pattaya.

Once you are in Pattaya there is a huge amount to be seen, all this sightseeing will require transport, however transport can be found very cheaply and easily in Pattaya any time of the day or night. Public transport consists of buses, taxis and motorbike taxis these will operate 24 hours a day and can be found pretty much on every street. If you are staying in Pattaya for a while you may want to hire a vehicle, there are many places offering car or motorbike hire throughout Pattaya , again this is inexpensive compared to many other holiday destinations.

Over the years Pattaya has spent a lot of money on tourism and is becoming a very popular destination to visit. To many tourists, Pattaya is getting better known for its nightlife and increasingly naughty reputation, with several hundred pubs and bars around the city , not to mention the numerous Go Go bars, Gentlemen's clubs and the Boys Town areas in Pattaya you are never short of entertainment of all varieties in Pattaya.

Dining options are endless in Thailand, at any time of day or night, you will find food of all kinds. Thai food is popular if you do not mind the spice, but if you prefer something different,there are many places where you can buy fast food, variety of different cuisines like Indian, English, Italian, the list goes on. The cost of food here is also very cheap, if you are on a tight budget stick to the food vendors, instead of big tourist food places as they are significantly more expensive.

When it comes sightseeing there are various places to see and things to do in Pattaya If you prefer a cultural holiday, then there are many beautiful gardens and temples to visit. For Children there are many zoos, water parks and amusement venues. Water sports such as scuba diving, Jet Ski, Para sailing and boat trips are relatively inexpensive and very available in Pattaya and the surrounding islands are popular destinations for diving and there are hundreds of dive centers to choose from. Another good activity is the elephant trekking, there are several places where you can also ride elephants around Pattaya.
